Wildlife Rescue Centre Jogja Jogja was deeply saddened in September by the passing of two cherished members of the community. On the second week of September, Bapak Eko Prawoto, a well-known member of the Advisory Board of YKAY, passed away. His commitment to the foundation and his contributions will never be forgotten. Two weeks later, at the end of the month, another loss happened with the passing of the foundation treasurer’s wife, Bu Diah Utari. The community will sincerely miss their leadership and presence.
In the midst of our mourning, we have to stick to our job plan. The collaboration between WRC Jogja and Australian Volunteers (AusVol) not only symbolizes resilience but also signifies a transformative alliance dedicated to aiding various relocation projects. An integral facet of this partnership involves engaging remote volunteers in fundraising endeavors, tapping into their skills and passion to extend our reach and garner additional support for crucial projects. Despite the challenges, the remarkable power of collaboration shines through, and we eagerly anticipate the positive transformations this partnership will catalyze.
