To apply, you must be at least 18 years old, with 6 months to 1 year experience in relevant conservation work, but those with experience in other related areas are encouraged to apply. Internationals as well as locals are eligible. Fluency in English is a requirement for all internships and Bahasa Indonesia ability is a major asset. A medical check and proof of vaccines will be required prior to your stay. (Link to medical requirements document?) Interns work 8 hour days, 6 days per week, often in hot and humid conditions, so a level of personal fitness is essential in many tasks. Upon completion of the program, interns will make a presentation and written report of their time here.
