Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have closed our facility to visitors for the safety of both our staff and animals. Unfortunately, this also means we have not had any volunteers, halting our main source of income.
Over the past few months, we have witnessed the incredible generosity of our supporters and through donations, we have been able to continue caring for our 146 animals! We were also blessed with some larger donations for small improvement projects around the centre. A new water pumping system, tiling in our food prep rooms, and roof repairs were all accomplished by our hard-working staff, even in this strange time!
Thank you to all of our donors! Stay safe, stay healthy, and we’ll see you on the other side.

All our animal keepers send out a massive Thank You to Ian who very kindly donated money for the staff to get new uniforms made. We hadn't had new uniforms in over 4 years so a fresh pair was very much due. Sending our appreciation.

18th May 2018: We have successfully rehabilitated and released eight animals back into their natural environment on the Sermo Reserve, not too far from WRC centre. The animals included 5 civet cats, 2 spotted jungle cats and 1 porcupine. We wish them all the best on their future endeavors and hope more will follow in their footsteps, so to speak.

Richard volunteered with us last December (2017) for two weeks and then went on to raise a massive £1,500 in order to complete the enclosure for sun bears, Bedhu and Teagan. We are looking forward to starting work on the enclosure once again and finally bringing it to a state of completion for our little bears whom very much deserve an enclosure where they will be able to run, climb and play.
Well done to Richard on his success and a massive thank you to you and all the contributors from everybody here at WRC.
